Meditations

(text-only version)

Where is the fast pace of "progress" in civilization taking us?
Let's look at some of the deeper issues, in Meditations offered by
Prof. Dr. I. Fayez M. Marai of Egypt:

Meditations on miraculous nature may begin a way to the true happiness by fortifying faith in God.
For instance, meditation on Ether: the endless space where all heaven bodies are hung while watching the sparkling stars during summer night in the desert, the wonders of the underwater coral gardens and tropical coloured fish through snorkelling or diving (as in the Red Sea), the petrified forests from the Oligocene epoch from more than 15 million years ago (as that found in North West of Cairo), or on the skeletons of whales which existed from over 40 million years ago (as that found in Whales Valley in Fayoum, South West of Cairo), all will end by the faith in omnipotence of the Creator "The God". Why does Darwin's Evolution Theory stop at Mankind, without no further evolution?

Scientists mimicked a space environment by freezing a mixture of simple compounds known to exist in interstellar space: water, methanol, ammonia and carbon monoxide, to temperatures close to absolute zero, then exposed it to harsh ultraviolet radiation.
They got an oily residue composed of hundreds of complex organic molecules that formed tiny hollow droplets that resembled cell membranes (upon immersion of the organic molecules in water), but far from being alive.
The scientists think that similar structures could be precursors of the first primitive life forms.
But, what about how to make them alive?

Space is the uterus of all the astronomical bodies, in which they were created, shaped, evoluted and maintained, while Earth is the uterus in which all kinds of living beings were created, evoluted and maintained.
But failure to find similar types of life on other heavenly bodies may mean that man searches for life in the wrong places.

The sun already shines 30 - 40% brighter than it did when it first entered its present phase, and it will become more luminous.
But, why have we not been more successful in bringing to light those things which mankind truly desires: comfort, peace and intimacy?

In some communities, man tried to build his paradise by establishing the highest modernisation with the highest standard of living.
However, unfortunately, he found that this was accompanied with the highest percentage of those who commit suicide, suggesting that the people felt unhappy in that paradise, to the extent that some lost interest in living.
But, I wonder, how will it be in Heaven's everlasting paradise? Can anybody imagine it?

Regarding human skin colour, all humans make the same pigment melanin and have much the same number of melanocytes, but the difference is in how much melanin is produced.
However, estimating the amount of the sunlight reflected due to that difference showed that the European's light skin transmits 3.5 times as much as the dark skin of Africans, suggesting that suitability of the dark skin for adaptation to sunnier latitudes depends on attributes different than sunlight reflection.
Now, what are these attributes?

The woman that beautiful creature, although she taught the man how to be civilized, she always behaved instinctively and her interests stayed as they were firstly created.
Woman's and man's lives become spicy if woman's interests are aroused.
But, why do the majority of the husbands neglect such criteria?

Recent studies show that although all humans share 99.9 percent of their genetic material, single-letter differences in their DNA sequences ensure that each individual is unique, i.e. 0.1 percent difference is responsible of the difference in shape and traits between the more than 6 billion humans existing nowadays and between the more billions which will come in the future to our world.
Isn't that miraculous?

Why is human fertility lower in well-developed countries than in the developing countries, although the conditions are more favourable in the first ones, while it is unfavourable in the second due to the sufferings from poverty, hunger and disease, in addition to that most of the latter countries are situated in the hot region and humans are exposed to the unfavourable hot climate conditions that inversely affect fertility.
Some may report that there are some intentional reasons, but what are the spontaneous ones, in such phenomenon? Particularly, under the conditions in the hot climate region, this is not clear: why is fertility higher in man, while it is low in the big animals, although both are homeotherms and originated, developed and lived, under the same conditions.

Some of the known dangerous diseases in either humans or animals seem to be a result of unrational interference of man in the regular ways in which such organisms really are and act.
Particularly, the spread of AIDS disease in humans is primarily due to sexuality that became common in some communities, while naturally, it is a reserve for husband and wife in privacy.
In animals, the spread of the cow disease (B.S.E.) is due to feeding animal protein to cattle which are originally herbivores, while the same disease does not occur when feeding carnivores the same feedstuff.

A lesson from nature: The recent studies show that the lowly bacterium may occupy a higher rank in the scheme of life than was imagined, since they organize themselves into complex and tenacious films (biofilms), differentiate, manufacture hundreds of proteins not found in free floating cells and behave as a developmental process, after they alight on a surface.

It seems that we may have to rediscover the traditional systems of agriculture, since some of these systems have been highlighted by modern agriculture.

Man prefers living beside or within sites that have natural beauty and he enjoys passing his holidays in such sites.
At the same time, he often demands natural commodities pertaining to food, clothing or drugs for illness relief, etc., and such tendency is increasing from one day to another.
Is that a type of atavism or reversion of man to his early days when nature was his home and natural life was his world?

Civilizations are built on culture, art and science and culture is fineness of feelings, tastes, manners, etc.
Then could be there a civilization without manners?

Some speak about conflicts between civilizations.
But, I wonder, what could be the reasons for such conflicts, since all civilizations interact and this interaction results in enriching of each due to the fact that all civilizations depend on culture, art and science?

All religions aim at prevalence of good manners in man's relationships with the powers and principles of the universe.
Why, then, are there arguments and debates between these religions?

The most significant threat to wildlife populations is hunting wildlife for meat, i.e. the bush meat trade, that affects 30 endangered species.
Among them are gazelles, chimpanzees, forest antelopes and monkeys.
But, what is the most significant challenge for humanity: Is it combating health problems or rebuilding peace after outrages committed upon others which created hatred, fanaticism and revenge?

The World's new economic system dictates that each country has to own a unique economic tool or tools, investing in which makes it a master in practising such activity without any competition from the other countries, otherwise it will loose its identity as a nation.
But, how many countries will have the possibilities to become masters? - and what will the economic situation be within the countries that fail to have such advantage and how much does that affect the situation within the master countries?
In other words, what would life be like in a World with a very few rich masters and the majority poor, without identities?

Optimum life quality which is satisfaction of the needs and good health and welfare, can be realized in harmonious communities that are free from contradictions in beliefs and traditions.
However, similar communities are very rare, and now there are several claims for separation in small harmonious communities, in different countries.
But, does this mean that most countries are in their way to be split in small entities - and how much will be the possibilities for such splittings to improve their life's quality, under the new global system, i.e. how much will globilization help such splittings to improve their life's quality?

The GATT treaty and WTO are pushing most of the developing countries to a system which they are not qualified to apply, even at the time set to implement the treaty, which means that the negative effects of such system will hit everybody.
Then what is expected to occur? At that time, I think that neither arousal of interests nor fear, will be of use.

Globalisation seems to reinforce the division of mankind into two categories: the few who are dominant vs. the majority of subordinates whose main duty is to maximize the wealth of the first category.
Will the differences between these two categories (which increase as time goes by), cause social conflicts in the future? And if that happens, what will be the situation between and within the various countries?

How much will the economic blocks and multinational companies not contradict with the free trade phenomenon? and how much will all such economic aspects contribute to a stable peaceful World?

Isn't it true that profit without looking at any other considerations, predomination and trespassing are the ethics of globalisation? And what is expected to occur as consequences of applying such practices?

Do oppressive humans feel tranquility, calmness or peace of mind while those who are affected suffer?

In theory, some kinds of environmental or social forces such as the spread of new diseases or shifts in immigration, would be needed to alter the prevalence of genes in a particular population.
I wonder, what could be the forces that are needed to depress the prevalence of avraicious and fierceness of world's capitalists?

Animal welfare is lessened in modern agriculture, since practising intensification of production implies pushing to increase production, in addition to that the animal looses freedom to display some of its normal behaviour patterns and may be affected by instances of severe suffering such as arthritis following the use of transgenic growth hormone (to improve meat quality).
However, developing some managemental procedures that alleviate such phenomena is useful, in that respect? Isn't it? But, what about animal welfare in developing countries? Most animal raisers own 1 - 3 big animals there.
But, due to their very limited financial resources, they, sometimes, prefer to fulfil the animal's needs before their family's needs (altruism).

Intensification of agriculture has led to over-production which in turn contributes to social pressures as well as concerns for environmental protection, healthy food and animal welfare.
At the same time, many specialists in agriculture continue contributing in their way to the tendency to over-intensify agriculture. Why?

Who will shape the future of livestock - the scientists who try to maximize livestock growth, or the animals themselves when they will not respond or respond negatively to the advanced scientific practises? And what will be the livestock, at that time?

How much and for how long does the farm animal tolerate using more new technologies and how long does man accept this?

The weekly holidays are two days, and some believe that they should be three days.
But, it seems that this means nothing to scientists in animal breeding who are working hard to produce highly productive, i.e. highly sensitive animals which require special care, all the time.

Mankind is mostly unwilling to accept unnatural food, and this tendency is increasing daily.
At the same time, he continues contributing in his own way to the tendency to develop new foods by application of new technologies that require high research and investment costs.
Isn't that puzzling?

Insect resistant crops have been developed by inserting a gene from the soil bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt).
The yield might increase 5 - 15% in Bt corn compared to non-GM corn.
This is beyond the environmental benefits due to the lower use of pesticides, although other crops such as Bt cotton do not displace a whole lot of insecticides, in addition to that such crops may have environmental risks (GM crops may pollinate related plants, cast their genes into the wild to create super weeds, insect pests and weeds can become resistant to killing by routine chemical sprays and insect resistance will be lost over time).
Then, what about the comparison between virtues of such new technology with virtues of traditional breeding, a less expensive and safe technology, that built a sustainable agricultural powerhouse?

Growth promoters and pesticides in agriculture and the use of urea in feeds of animals, etc., are technologies that are banned due to their harmful effects on humans health and/or on the environment.
Nowadays, is there enough that is known to assure that genetically modified (GM) foods are safe? And is it wise to take society-wide risks, before generating a sufficient body of evidence that such products are safe?

Will biotechnology be a panacea for the hunger problem, especially in the developing world? But, how does biotechnology address the problem of income inferiority in such countries? The only solution is the use all means, of which biotechnology is just one of the tools.

Bermuda Triangle and Devil's Sea are two small areas which have acquired an evil reputation, due to that they have been responsible for so many disappearances of ships and planes.
These disappearances have been total, and not a single person nor a fragment of wreckage from the vanished craft have ever been recovered.
What then can modern science say about that? And what does that mean, that there is no answer? I think that only those who have faith in The Omnipotent God have the answer.

Creation of harmonious balance between population, natural resources and environment necessitates carrying out sustainable development with the least pollution that fulfils the immediate requirements of the present generation and, at the same time, maintains the requirements of the next generations.
But, how much does the present generation cooperate to realize that with his free trade and with his high extraction rate of natural resources to support manufacturing, man is damaging both the earth and its atmosphere?

The potentially highly productive breeds of animals are mostly developed in the temperate region.
However, such animals often fail to adapt to hot climate conditions, which are expected to prevail all over the earth due to the increasing greenhouse effect.
But, how much is the latter phenomenon being considered by the specialist in animal breeding?

For many aspects of technology, unemployment will increase as a social price to be paid, due to the decrease in number of jobs, and the developing countries will most certainly suffer more than the industrialised ones, in that area.
Meanwhile, man engaged in technology primarily to help him to solve his problems or to improve his quality of life, not to create new problems.

Sustainable development is achieved by balancing economic progress with environmental care and social responsibility.
But, how will producers succeed to be guardians against pollution and unemployment, without interrupting the progress of development?

In the presence of economic competition, could there be a sincere intention to realize the sharing of science and technology globally, by partnership and technology transfer internationally and / or advancing technologies through global alliances? I think that under the mentioned conditions, talk on such topics is nothing but facile chatter.

Multinational companies' need to recoup the high costs of research and investments incurred in development of biotechnology, implies that only high technology citizens in developed countries will be able to carry the cost burden.
But, how are the developing countries and their citizens viewed, in this respect?

New:

Weather in space is extremely variable, like weather on earth.
Conditions can turn from quiet to stormy in a matter of minutes, and storms can last for hours or days.
And just as terrestrial weather changes with the seasons, space weather also follows its own cycles.
However, space weather arises from physical processes that are profoundly different from those responsible for terrestrial weather.
But, how much human presence is suitable in space, without spoiling it's environment as has occurred regarding terrestrial weather?

No one knows how life arose on the desolate young earth.
However, scientists believe that the origin of life was far too complex to imagine as a single event.
They assume that it was a gradual sequence of more modest events, each of which added a degree of order and complexity to the world of pre-biological molecules.
But, did life originate in this manner, or was it more than can be explained by conventional science? Then what?

Many Nature lovers attempt a Safari as a week-long trek along hundreds of kilometres of Egyptian deserts (Eastern or Western deserts of Sinai), while others may take a longer or shorter segment.
However, although these trails are awesome and may be wild, such a wonderful anthology promises to amplify these past experiences as an enduring and luminous memory and inspire future adventures.

An intruder or mediator between two opponents could be a barrier or a helping agent.
But under all circumstances, direct dealing between two is easier and more fruitful than between three parties.
Then, why is that third party always found on the international level, and oftenly without invitation?

Blood collected from umbilical cords and placentas following birth contains stem cells that can rebuild the blood and immune systems of people with leukemia and other cancers.
However, although that material is usually thrown away, how many patients would be fortunate enough to afford the costs of that treatment, especially in the developing countries?

Scientists believe that birds arose from a line of agile running carnivores, the smallest of all dinosaurs.
They also consider that the smallest dinosaurs vastly exceeded the average size of modern flying bird.
However, since it is a fact that sequence of generations for any type of organism depends on: 1) adaptation to the conditions under which such organism lives, 2) mating of the sexual organisms (live male X live female), is it easier and more logic to believe that God may have created a pair of each sexual organisms? And is it of more interest to study how such organisms tolerate or adapt to their environmental conditions? This is besides the study of what are the relationships between such organisms?

In Egypt, as a developing country, normally the majority of the people, if not all, are selective regarding their food, i.e. they do not eat other than the food which they enjoy.
However, the statistics show that the public suffers from animal protein difficiency.
Scientifically, meat can be synthesised biologically from yeast culture, plant extracts and probiotics.
But, practically, how much are people willing to accept such meat when they know that it is produced partially or wholly from microbes?

Nowadays, fundamentals of human rights are not the supposed internationally priority they once were.
Many rulers hope that this issue goes away or they attempt to dismiss it.
But, the worst of all is its use as an excuse (employed by the super powers as a means) to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.
Doesn't such use represent one of the hardest times in the lives of these nations?

When looking for the meaning of the word "soul or spirit", I found that the two words are not listed in the medical dictionaries and their meaning in other dictionaries are such as: "The innermost being of a person, the part which thinks, feels, desires, etc." or "A being without body", which indicates that man failed to give a direct or typical characterization of the soul (or the spirit).
But, this seems normal, since the soul is an offer of the God and that all concerns it, is due to God.
In addition to that, man and all organisms in the world would not (and will not) exist without it.

Embryonic stem cells are considered the gold standard for replacing the bad tissue with good, since it can differentiate into any tissue of the body.
However, when carrying out research on human stem cells, a moral debate arises over whether while an embryo or when maturing, is really a human being.
But, it is well known that the organism begins its life after it is combined into a zygote (live sperm x live ovum = live zygote).
Such combination is the starting signal for the program, encoded in the zygotes' combinant genetic structure, to be carried out.
Therefore, the zygote, formed under any conditions, is considered a true human being.

Who can defend the World from the long knives?
The political and military jungle out there makes the unsubmitting countries be as lambs, being preyed upon by superpower hawks and ideological serpents.
Then, what will be the result, if that which is planned for, becomes a reality?
Will that result in the hawks and serpents living in peace or will they turn on one another, fighting among themselves over the carcass?

Most countries are against human cloning for ethical reasons.
But, what will be the ethics of the clones, if the present world's political and military jungle, produced clone lines to fulfil their needs?
And what will be the future, if such clone lines dominate in some parts of the world?

In all epochs, progress in medical science (which is the most important science to man), is evaluated on the bases of its efficiency to eliminate the deviations than normal, especially the serious ones that occur in man's body form or functions.
But, how much progress is realized in that respect at the present time? In other words, what is the percentage of the deviations that become completely eliminated after the end of the medical treatments?
The reply will show the level of knowledge which humans attained, until now.

Man the marvellous creation of God, is made in the most beautiful shape with the most balanced functions and unique abilities, that make him the master of the universe.
But, instead of keeping these talents in their utmost efficiency to use them for the good of himself and others, he went a wrong way, concentrating on profit without looking to any other consideration while trying to make the others submit to his will, otherwise he destroys them.
Isn't a pity that after the long way pathway towards civilization and development, you loose trust in your brother?

When anybody has the ability to truly express his feelings (by such a means as writing, drawing, photographing, etc.), he is considered as an artist, and the more he carries out this perfectly, the more that he and his achievements become notable.
Further, at the moment he finishes one of his achievements, he himself feels with relief, due to emptying himself of such feelings.
But, what about those whose feelings are congested within themselves, due to that they haven't that ability?
I think that practising a hobby may provide similar results, but with another type of expression.

Man is created with the most balanced body functions and unique abilities.
However, while he should maintain and keep these talents in their utmost efficiency, some humans ruin them by the excessive use of mind bending drugs, alcohols, nicotine and caffiene.
But how can the use of such stuffs be limited or stopped?
The only way is to try to to find out the way in which we can cancel the belief in their engaging fallacious benefits.
Beginning to think in that direction is the most important step towards the solution.

In order to enjoy a successful life and to be a good Believer, man should firstly study, think, investigate and do, whatever required, in all that concerns his life.
Secondly, believe in all that concerns God, including that which is beyond his cognizance.
Further on, the rewards will be living in peacefulness and happiness.

Egypt, magical as it is, evokes images of the Nile.
This monarch of rivers runs in dignity and solemnity through the country like a green ribbon cut into the desert, nourishing the land along its banks, with the Egyptian civilization extended through and beyond the Valley, from the oasis, right into the fringes of the desert.
If you walk through Egypt, you are likely to have this strange sensation of being in a very different world, while in addition to that you enjoy year-round resorts and the intimacy and warmth of the people, as well.

The splender of the desert landscape has always fascinated people.
The sublime, magnificently pure landscapes, bear witness to unparallel splender.
The western desert of Egypt (or the so-called Kingdom of the Setting Sun, the desert of extremes and the Great Sea of Sand) is extensive and still possess an ostensibly impassive barrier.
It remains the splendid virgin territory of legends mysteries and secret and sacred landscape.
The desert is an ideal place for contemplation for today's people, subjected to all the mad speed, noise and vexations of the modern World.

The Nile, life-giving river, Monarch of rivers, gave birth to the Egyptian Civilization by the Phrahaonic forerunners, from 3000 years before Christ, in Egypt, that extends as a long narrow oasis.
The temples lining the Valley from the Sudan border to the Mediterranean sea, bear witness to that unparallel and uniquely great civilization.
But, I wonder, why is most of the knowledge of that civilization unknown and considered as mysteries and secrets necessary to be discovered?
And who is to be blamed for that, we or the Pharaons?
In other words, why did such a civilization seem to be terminated with the end of the Pharaonic era, although I myself feel a great intimacy and emotional relationship with all that concerns that era.

If you enter a place for the first time in a different country, but you feel that you lived in that place before, with its particulars, how can that be explained?

"This is my last day here" - How painful and emotional is such a phrase when lovers are obliged to be separated, maybe forever?

What will history write about the present era?

It is well known now that genes are involved in just about everything we are and do, and the genetic structure of any organism is defined at the moment of combination of the genes when its zygote is composed.
Then, a question may come to mind, which is: are we endowed or not endowed with a free will; if so, what is the nature of it?

Throughout history, man has aspired to postpone aging.
But, unfortunately, he realized significant postponement of aging in insects (in Drosophila), but not in man.
In man, adults suffer a decline in physiological functions as they grow older, due to that the genes which produce deleterious effects late in life, become rampant in the gene pool.
Biologically, the body itself makes destructive free radicals and oxidizing molecules.
Recently, some methods have been publicized to extend the years of vigour and health such as diligent persuance of exercise, diet restriction and / or certain therapies ( for scavenging or blocking production of the destructive biochemical processes).
Yet, nothing is sure, indicating that postponement of human aging is still a conjectural venture.
But, what about the long-lived citizens in the mountainous regions in southeast Europe and similar regions?

The mind emerges from the brain?
The same holds true for consciousness, conscience, affection, feelings, passion, sensation, memory and imagination.
But, how do such complex sets of biological phenomena come to be, and at which regions of the brain?
Such thinking enhances man's knowledge, through which he may discover, for example, that he loves with his brain, not with his heart, as he believed until now.
In addition, such knowledge will also show the miraculous nature of man's creation.

Searching for life beyond the earth is carried out by looking extensively for signs of life elsewhere.
Such signs are considered to include intelligent radio signals from an extraterrestrial technology and sending spacecraft to planets in our solar system.
But, unfortunately, no positive results have so far been obtained.
Then, are the methods being used feasible?
On what basis are such systems of common communication methods chosen?
What about other systems which are different than in our solar system? Will be there a common language and what language will it be?

Complete genomes representing diverse species will give biologists clues about where to look for driving forces that fashion a whole organism.
It will also show that all organisms are similar in essentials of life criteria.
However, although such information will illustrate the current view of the relationships among all living organisms, such relationships are not due to particular common ancestors, but to the relationship between that chemical code book of life and it's Author.

The human genome is contained in 37 pairs of chromosomes which lie in the nucleus of every cell of the 100 trillion cells of the body (each gametic cell contains only one genome and the haemoglobin cells do not contain genomes).
Each genome contains all the biochemical instructions in the form of DNA bases (Adenine, Thiamine, Cytosine and Guanine) for shaping and maintaining a human.
But, how and why does each cell of the body have the ability to shape and maintain a human?
The reply will elucidate the essentials of life criteria, which do not differ among all organisms.
Regarding how, body cells initiate originally by division from the zygote with the genotype as a written lifetime C.V. information wrapped up inside every cell.
Regarding why, proteins which make the structural bulk of the body and the hormones and enzymes that carry out the biochemical reactions of life, are encoded by DNA.
In addition to that, the genome can be used in multiplication of the individuals by cloning.

All human being's genetic structure was defined by the genes that passed through the gametes of Adam and Eve.
Multiplcation, redistribution and recombination of the genes continued and will continue in each generation of the subsequent generations.
Similarity in genetic structure of humans is 99.9%. The 0.1% difference is related to mutations in some genes which occur under specific conditions.
Other differences may occur gradually in some traits that are affected by changes in environmental conditions.
One may ask: Is everything in our life controlled by genes? Then, what about our wills and choices?
It is a fact that all humans are similar in the genes responsible of their bodies structure and function and their instincts and requirements.
Then, their wills and choices will originate as a function of the mentioned life criteria within each particular environment.

As it is known, improvement of animal production is carried out by mating between the animals with high genetic potentiality that are descended from superior parents.
However, since evaluating the genetic potentiality is the essence of Animal Breeding Science, most of the developments in this science are concentrated on innovation of methods with high accuracy in defining the genetic potential of animals.
Further, the biologcal innovations have added new possbilities in that respect.
But, how much of these innovations can be applied by the majority of animal raisers in the world, and how much is the difference in the output between such innovations and the normal methods which are practised, in that respect?

Isn't a pity that when the young man has the physical ability and psychological state to enjoy his life, he does not find the necessities, while later in his life, when he owns such necessities he discovers that he has lost his ability and interest.

Do you love me? How much you love me? - Questions which are not asked except by a female.
But if there is not an immediate, positive and convincing reply, the answerer will find himself in trouble!
The strangest thing here is that no matter if such reply reflects true emotional feelings or not, in addition to that, the true emotional feelings can be touched, from far, that may not need to be confirmed.
However, the wives always like to be confirmed, while the husbands seldomly do so.
At this time it is important that such wife wishes must have priority, in order to have a pleasant life.

Paleontologists classify Genus Homo to five species which are: Homo afarensis, H. africanus, H. Habilis, H. erectus and H. sapiens (to whom the present humans belong).
The same scientists believe that there is a common ancestor for Genus Homo and chimpanzees, who has long hands and leans on the joints of the hand fingers while walking, although the same scientists suffer from incompleteness of the Fossil Records that show the evolutionary links between the Species.
But, whether the mentioned species are related or not, where are their nowadays descendants who may bear their typical traits? - and what about Adam and Eve as common ancestors?

Isn't fascinating that the water which we use now, is the same water that first existed on earth from millions of years ago, and that it kept and will keep its quantity and quality the same without change, until the end of life on earth. Somebody may ask: how?
Water covers three quarters of the globe as oceans and seas, and passes through cycles that begin and end there.
Each cycle begins by transformation from the liquid state to vapour by which water is purified from all impurities and ends as rivers and streams of water flowing to the oceans and seas, while extending life in its way. In addition, the continuous movements (which may be so strong at sometimes) of water by tide, ebb and flow, currents, waves, as well as water organisms that feed on excreta of each other and on the suspended materials in water, also play a big role in renewing the water quality.
These days, many believe that the future troubles in the World, will be because of water. But, how will that come about while most of the water that runs in most rivers and streams is wasted on the way to the oceans and seas, in addition to big quantities of water lost in swamps along the streams that require great efforts, dear money and cooperation of all those who are concerned to stop any wastage of water.

Freedom fighting, waging holy war, jihad, etc. vs. terrorism, fundamentals, etc., are contradictory expressions, but both are used to identify one particular case, and the name utilized depends on the side at which the user is: is he with or against those who have the right to fight.
Unfortunately, some of the dominant nations who might be against such cases, give themselves the freedom to crush these cases in ways they find convenient.
What is that called? - and under what legality is that carried out? And what will be the reaction, in the long run?

In the developing countries, as it is known, poverty, illiteracy and disease are the consequences of over-population which seemed to be inevitable due to the high fertility of the inhabitants that mostly do not believe in birth control.
But, who can solve the over-population problem, if such populations do not solve it by themselves?

Some intruders break through our addresses on the internet and try to dictate their wills, in one way or another.
But, does this mean that the communication's revolution succeeded in passing along the villager's undesirable behaviour after it had succeeded in making the World appear as a small village?

Unraveling the various Pharaoh's mysteries is still difficult, in site of advances in science achieved in the present days which are astonishing.
But, does this mean that modern science has no means of explaining such enigmas, or should we believe in the supernatural?
However, if the latter will be the case, what are the possibilities of uncovering the secrets of the methodologies of these practices (of the Pharoahs)?

Proverbs:
None are so blind as those who will not see.
Truth will prevail.
Grasp all, loose all.
Practice what you preach.
The longest day must have an end.
God helps them who help themselves.
Gods's mills grind slow but sure.
The darkest hour is that before the dawn.
Gather ye rosebuds, while ye may.

I have lived all my life, feeling that there is something important which I have to do, but unfortunately I have not succeeded in picking it up either by thinking or by any practise or by any work. Meanwhile, it is settled in my mind that discovering this important task must be important for every human, and I have to begin working in it. Now, is there anyone who can help me define what it is?

During the last few years, some of the airplane accidents which happened, seem to have been done intentionally. These latter accidents occurred to airplanes belong to either developed or developing countries. Accordingly, the developed countries requested indemnities for the damage which was committed by terrorists from the developing countries. Meanwhile, nothing was known until now about the airplanes belonging to the developing countries, although some events occurred from some years ago. Why such different response to similar events?

Why do we, as humans either in the developed or in the developing countries, feel less safety, comfort and satisfaction, at the present time compared to the near past era, although the situation economically and scientifically is much better at present than at any time before? Are new trends in policy such as: biases or inequality in dealing with the internationally sensitive issues, covetousness and self-centeredness, among such reasons?

Can there be an end to fear of the unknown? And how can such an end be reached? I hope that such an end will not require the end of our present world.
Fear of the unknown means fear of an imaginable enemy with imaginable weapons. But, in my opinion, the event of September 11, 2001, was and still is far from any imagination. Do humans expect an accidental nuclear attack as a result of the fear of unknown or due to the inequality in dealing internationally with the nuclear weapon's issue?

All of us know: how hatred develops and how it can be avoided. But, why do some nations, especially when they become the mightiest, do not care about avoidance and, at the same time, ignore any consequences?

Fear of the unknown is employed by some governments with the aim to be able to control their people, and recently it is applied to override or invade other countries. However, it has not been evaluated how much this will spoil the life in our present World. Particularly, on the level of the individual, how much will be the interest in a life in which he feels that he is caged and expecting that something bad may happen at any moment and at any place? Further, what about trust of others? I think that it will be lost and hatred will take its place.

Refusal of the French and Dutch citizens to complete the initiation of the United Europe, on which the Europeans began to work hard for more than 50 years, means that any kind of influences that are against the people's beliefs are rejected. In other words, at the present time, the individual longs to feel free of all influences in his own country, even those with economic benefits. But, isn't that voting for destruction which is a demolition for democracy?

Reparation should be carried out in every aspect of life, to improve its quality and flourish the feeling with it. Such criteria is of importance for all humans, and should be initiated and applied in every society at every time, according the particular situation in each. Accordingly, reparation in a personal affair, and it may be guided with successful trials (of the others) that are welcomed of those who need it. In other words, reparation may be suggested, but not dictated by the others, especially if the others are in need of applying similar criteria in their society.

In most of the developing countries, nearly all that concern the activities in their countries, are mixed. The reason is absence of the efficient administration. In my opinion, practising strict scrutiny and calling to account may be a quick effective solution. But, how can that be carried out? I think that the United Nations through Human Rights Charter, is more qualified and accepted to have this responsibility.

Religiously, Adams and Eve are considered the common ancestors of humans. At the same time, Palaeontologists consider that the common ancestor is either Apes, something between the Apes and Homo species or the Homo species, although the Palaeontologists did not find any evolutionary links in the Fossil Records. Palaeontologically, Genus Homo is classified into 5 Species, which are: Homo afarensis, H. africanus, H. habilis, H. erectus and H. sapiens to whom the present human belongs. The geological age of each species is from 0.25 to 1 million year. Typically, some scientists believe that the common ancestor for humans is the Chimpanzi (with long hands and leans on the joints of the hand fingers while walking). However, the two concepts contradict completely and each denies the presence of the other, although it is not evidenced palaeontologically, yet.

Moral sense or conscience is the main difference between humans and animals. But, due to the theory of common descent, man is considered a descent of animal origin which do not own such traits. The same theory considers that man has acquired morality gradually through selection and evolution to the extent that it became an inherited trait, and that occurred when man and his family began to live in a society unit. Now, do acquired traits become inherited and if the reply is positive: why do not the animals either acquire or inherit such traits?

Randomisation governs the hereditary balance that realizes stability in organism populations. But, any interference to change that balance will affect its stability, of which future outputs are difficult to be predicted. Now, are the positive and/or negative changes that will be caused by applications of the new technologies in the future organism populations well defined, or will they be defined when they occur? If the reply is the latter, how will life be if the changes are negative?

The more that science and its applications become sophisticated, the more will be the desire to return to a simple and more natural life style.

Before 1952, 95% of the land in Egypt was owned by only 5% of the population. When Naser made the revolution in 1952, 95% of the land was redistributed to 95% of the population who were the labourers working in that land.
In those days, there was apprehension that the beneficiaries might vote against this phenomenon, affected by the influence of the previous owners who were still present in the country.
But, it was not imagined that such voting for destruction, which could have occurred in this society of labourers, may happen now in a developed country, under different circumstances, as has happened in the recent EU Constitutional voting.
Now, after the vote of the French and Dutch against initiation of a United Europe, for personal reasons which are different from the economic benefits to their countries, is it possible that such voting may happen in any country in the world for realization of only personal benefit, such as the occupation of another country's land? Then what...?
