Let's try again to organize a Canadian Rabbit Science Association!

Several years ago, I tried to get people interested in forming a Canadian Branch of the World Rabbit Science Association, so that Canadians don't have to send money and authority to the so-called American Branch of WRSA. (What's wrong with AB-WRSA?)

Let's try this again for Fall 2002! But why, you ask, am I doing this, a nobody way over on the left coast of Canada, far away from larger production areas? What have I ever done for Rabbit in Canada besides publishing Canada's very own rabbit production science publication - Pan-American Rabbit Science Newsletter ISSN 1206-4122, since 1996?

I'm looking for all people in Canada involved in the rabbit industry who support the goals of the WRSA:

"The mission of the WRSA (World Rabbit Science Association) is to encourage communication and collaboration among individuals and organisations associated with rabbit production and rabbit biology in general. The journal WRS (World Rabbit Science) which is published quarterly under control of the WRSA, accepts manuscripts for publication presenting information with this mission in mind."

If you would like to become a member of a Canadian Branch of WRSA, please reply via the Mail Page, indicating your interest in joining a Canadian WRSA branch. Dues for WRSA itself are 5 Euros per year per branch member. There will be no local Canadian Branch dues at this time. For the time being, I will volunteer as acting secretary and governance of a Canadian Branch will be on a consensus basis in committee of the whole (all members are consulted and agree to every action).

As Canadian Branch members, you will have the preferred rate for subscription to World Rabbit Science, and of course the Newsletter.
